The coming season sees Daisy make her solo debut at the Wigmore Hall with Arcangelo, as well as as touring much of Europe, Brazil and Los Angeles with ensembles including Le Concert D'Astrée and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
Biography
Daisy Livesey is a soprano based in London working throughout the UK and abroad. Recent solo engagements include Second Woman and Second Witch in Purcell Dido and Aeneas (The Hampstead Collective, Aidan Coburn, 2026), Pergolesi Stabat Mater and Oliver Tarney Magnificat (Milton Keynes Chorale, Mark Jordan, 2026), Britten The World of the Spirit (Ben Vonberg-Clark, London Mozart Players, Snape Maltings Concert Hall, 2025), Bach Christmas Oratorio Parts I, III, V and VI (Joe Tobin, Newbury Choral Society, St Nicolas Newbury, 2025), Haydn The Seasons (Iain Ledingham, St Mary’s Church, Amersham, 2025), Handel Messiah (Jonathan Willcocks, Chichester Cathedral, 2025), Bach Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen (Max Barley, St John’s Church, Spencer Hill, Wimbledon International Music Festival, 2024), and Purcell The Fairy Queen (Seb Gillot and Eloise Lally, Jacksons Lane Theatre, Hampstead Garden Opera, 2024). A keen recitalist, Daisy performed a programme of Berg, Debussy and Britten in the 2026 Barnes Music Festival alongside pianist Ben Markovic; the duo were also finalists in the 2025 Ashburnham English Song Awards. Daisy looks forward to taking part in the New Elizabethan Award live round in July with theorbist Louis Moisan, and to her Wigmore Hall solo debut in October with Arcangelo directed by Jonathan Cohen.
Daisy graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2025. She was taught by Alex Ashworth and Iain Ledingham, and was awarded the Philip Hattey and the Jennifer Vyvyan prizes. In January 2025, she won First Prize in the Nancy Nuttall Early Music Prize adjudicated by Robert Hollingworth with a programme of Buxtehude soprano cantatas. Throughout her time at the Academy, Daisy was supported in professional oratorio engagements by the Josephine Baker Trust.
Also an experienced choral singer, Daisy has worked in the UK and Europe with Arcangelo, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Gabrieli Consort, the Monteverdi Choir, La Nuova Musica and the Hanover Band. This year, Daisy goes on tour with ensembles including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Arcangelo and Le Concert d'Astrée to multiple international destinations including residencies in Los Angeles (US) and Sãu Paulo (Brazil), as well as throughout Europe and closer to home at the Southbank Centre, Kings Place, and the Barbican.
Daisy regularly sings with the choir of Farm Street Church and the St Pauls Cathedral Consort.
